We offer a range of rooms and a self contained apartment. The Rebels Hide can be booked on a self catering basis ideal for wedding guest groups and other adventure activity groups. five minutes from Askham Hall. The property faces onto the site of the last battle fought on English Soil where members of the McPherson Clan lay buried beneath what is known locally as the rebels tree. br / br / br / br / The Hide is on the doorstep of the Lakes and only five minutes away from what we consider to be the finest lake, Lake Ullswater. It provides an perfect starting-point to explore some of Lakelands picturesque villages and indeed the less well known but equally lovely Eden Valley. It is an ideal location for cyclists, climbers, walkers, sailors, and sight seeing. The historically significant village of Clifton has one of the finest Lakeland Inns in Cumbria serving excellent beers and wines and fine cuisine. It is a couple of staggering minutes away from the hide. br / br / br / br / The Rebels Hide offers a more imaginative approach to Bed and Breakfast with three rooms available, offering a variety of choices dependent on price and personal requirements. br / br / br / br / br / br / In addition we have close links with Edinburgh and the highlands and Islands of Bonnie Scotland for those wishing to head further North. We are an ideal and unique travellers rest for those travelling North to South, South to the North, or East to West only five minutes from the M6 motorway, A66 and situated just off the A6. br / br / br / br / The Rebels Hide is situated at the very end of the historically significant village of Clifton, five miles from the equally historically significant market town of Penrith, and only five miles from Lake Ullswater. br / br / br / br / This makes it the perfect setting for trips into Lakeland or the Eden Valley. The area has Lakes, Mountains, castles, historically significant houses, gardens and many other tourist attractions and places of interest.

Family/Group Room- Private Bathroom
The Family Room is ideal for couples families or will accommodate four adults. There are two adjoining bedrooms one with double bed or can be twin beds one with bunk beds. The facility has an adjoining bathroom and shower/ toilet. Continental breakfast available at ?5.00 pp and cooked breakfast at ?7.50 pp. Pets are welcome at an additional cost. Please discuss this with us in person prior to booking. Prices are based on a family of four two adults and two children. Prices for a group of four adults is negotiable. We are happy to organise any activities for you during your stay with us and can organise a full holiday adventure experience including sailing cycling kayaking fell walking motorised tours of the Lake District history and other specialist tours of the area

The Rebels Hide is available to be booked for groups and wedding parties. We are only five minutes away from Askham Hall a premier wedding venue and other wedding venues. The house and self contained apartment can sleep up to 12 people with a choice of room layouts suited to meet your parties needs. An ideal facility for friends walking groups cyclists motor cyclists sailers reunion parties etc.

Price based on room only for a family of four. Breakfast provisions can be provided at an extra cost. The apartment is also ideal for small groups of adults up to six willing to share. Price on application. Bike hire is available electric and standard bikes.

Directions
The North - M6 - Road: Junction 40 M6 Southbound. A66 East to 1st roundabout. Take 4th exit A6 signposted Shap. Continue through Eamont Bridge (two pubs if refreshment required) and keep on A6 to Clifton village. Through Clifton village passing George and Dragon on Left another dram if required. Take second left after the G & D (not to be confused with G & T which can be had in the G & D) just before unrestricted sign. Second driveway on left. L shaped property facing you! br/ br/ The South - M6 - Road: M6 exit junction 40 then directions as above. Alternatively take junction 39 signposted Shap and continue on A6 through Shap (lots of pubs, fish and chips, Mango restaurant etc.) Continue on A6 approximately 7 miles descending into Clifton Village. Slow Down or you will miss the turning you require! First right after 30 mile signpost. Second driveway on left. L Shaped property facing you.
